This elegant necklace is composed of a mix of six hand-modelled fancy Murano black “skunk” eye trade beads coveted for their dimensional texture and rarity, from the late 19th to early 20th century; two modern handmade blown and flame-worked filigree beads by Genninger Studio; one modern rose Murano glass bead decorated with white dots; rose quartz beads, black Art Deco Bakelite beads, ebony beads, 18K gold-plated 925 sterling silver clasp.
Age marks, imperfections, minor nicks and digs or scratches on some beads attest to their extensive use. They play a part in the story of beads and add an element of intrigue to each creation.
