Sands of Mine
This graceful necklace is composed of a mix of six handcrafted chevron Murano trade beads from the late 19th to early 20th century, carnelian, clamshell disk beads, bone and corn beads, tiger`s eye crystal, mother-of-pearl, two African gold-plated Tuareg bicone silver beads, two vintage gold-plated West African spacers, two vintage Indian Dholki 22K gold foil wax beads, four vintage Indian gold foil faceted wax beads, 925 sterling silver modern hook and 18K gold-plated clasp.
Age marks, imperfections, minor nicks and digs or scratches on some beads attest to their extensive use. They play a part in the story of beads and add an element of intrigue to each creation.
